In January 2013 Oldcastle Precast purchased the assets of Modern Precast Concrete's Easton, PA facility. With most of Modern's Easi-Set Building Products sales force and production staff retained, Oldcastle Precast has not only decided to keep the building license intact, but is making Easi-Set Buildings a "cornerstone" product in the Easton plant and plan on growing their precast building sales to new heights. Easi-Set is pleased to have Oldcastle Precast join the Building Products Family.

Roman Stone Co. in Bay Shore, NY has been in business since 1903 and has been licensed to produce the Easi-Set J-J Hooks Highway Safety Barrier since 2009. As of January 2013 they have included another Easi-Set licensed product, Easi-Set Precast Buildings. Tom Montalbine, President and Layne Urbas, Sales saw a growing market for the Easi-Set and Easi-Span buildings on Long Island and in the New York Boroughs. They have already secured two orders and are quoting several others. Jeremy Smith, Easi-Set Building Products Manager is working with them in collaboration with Brian Stock, Easi-Set National Sales Manager to make Easi-Set Building sales.

Smith-Midland Corp. recently finished delivering twelve 12’ x 20’ x 8’ Easi-Set buildings to the Department of Defense. “After initially pricing the buildings to be delivered to Blossom Point, MD, the DOD changed the location to Crane, IN. The job went to bid, and SMC was awarded the project worth over $300,000 for all 12 buildings including outfitting, delivery, and setting” says George Sharikas, Sales Manager of SMC Utility Division.

Hurricane Ike made landfall in September of 2008, just north of Galveston Island devastating the Texas coastline and beyond. While much of the damaged infrastructure has been repaired or rebuilt, there are still many Ike Recovery projects in the works today. Lonestar Prestress Manufacturing Inc. (LPMI), recently installed four precast concrete EASI-SET buildings in two small coastal communities to house emergency standby generators. These generators will supply backup power to water and waste water plants for neighborhoods near Freeport and Sargent, Texas.

Easi-Set Worldwide announced that its Easi-Set/Easi-Span Building line successfully passed the UL 752 Level-5 ballistic test.
Midland, VA. – MGA Research Corporation, of Manassas, Virginia, performed the test using a NATO 7.62x51 mm, round fired at the standard 3" thick building wall panel. All four tests in the procedure were successful. Level- 5 provides protection for personnel or equipment from many forms of small arms fire.

Lonestar Prestress Mfg., Inc. Develops New Sound-Attenuated Precast Concrete Generator Building
Midland, VA. – Lonestar Prestress Mfg., Inc. (LPMI), a manufacturer of prestressed concrete poles and Easi-Set® precast concrete buildings, recently designed a sound-attenuated generator building for two Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) storm water pumping station rehabilitation projects. Boyer Inc., a large Houston-based general contractor was awarded the $3 million contract from HCTRA back in January of 2009 which is part of an ongoing upgrade of storm water pumping stations located along the Hardy Toll Road.
